All new trucks have 4 wheel disc brakes. I am ditching my outdated heavy drums for some disk brakes.

1976 caddy calipers
1976 Chevy K20 roters
9/16 studs

Valve covers

Next up is the leaky valve covers.
I took off the covers and wiped all external engine surfaces down with thinner. As for the covers I cleaned the thick layer of grease and filth of them with thinner, wire wheeled them, scrubbed with thinner again, primed and painted them. Check out the condition of the old gaskets.

So this is my new project. I chose it for these reasons:
CUMMINS 12 valve turbocharged inter-cooled diesel motor 225K
Dana 60 front
Dana 70 rear
Auto tranny with over drive.
As with any project, there are things wrong with it.
Over drive it out, missing head light, blinker covers are busted/missing,  license plate held on with zip ties, passenger door doesn't open, tail gate wont open, missing mirror glass, leaking valve covers, broken E-brake cable,  rear brakes work intermittently (pads are shot) pass rear tire is completely bald and smooth.

First off:
 I mounted the license plate, replaced the missing headlight and build a retainer for it, replaced the worn rear tire and mirror glass.
