The brushguard comes with 5/8" holes, this is cool but I don't have the ability to make brackets for these because I don't have a 5/8" drill bit the biggest I have is a 1/2". I picked us some 7/16" washers since the actual inner diameter is 1/2" and welded them to the over the existing holes. Now I will be able to use 1/2" hardware on them.

Brushguard pt2
I finally had some time to spend on the brush-guard. After I had cut it off of the old hmmwv bumper I simply left it in the yard. So today I dragged it out and ground all of the remaining welds off.

intake
I meant to post this quite a while ago. I was going through my pictures and realized I never used these so I figured I would share them with you.
The currant intake setup I have on the hummer is great during the summer but not so grate during the winter. As the rain was drawing near I inspected the hummer to make sure I wouldn't have and problems with water getting inside. That was when I noticed that the intake was exposed through the upper grill on the hood. I didn't want water to get in motor so I put a garbage bag over it and looked for another style intake. I found one on eBay for a gas Chevy 350 motor. I welded a bolt on top of the EGR valve (since it will never be hooked up), filed a bit off of the new intake installed it and sealed the connection with grey high temp silicone. The new setup puts the intake in the path of fresh air but out of the way of the rain.

Mirrors
Here are the new mirrors on the hummer. I am painting the mirrors and doors flat black. Here is a shot before the paint. The grey is self etching primer.

horseshoes and handgrenades
One of the many sketchy fixes on Eli's truck is the exhaust. The P.O. kept the stock 3" piping but straight-piped it and added a 7" tip. For new hangers he used horseshoes up front and a bungee on the last one. It looked ridiculous when driving, the tail pipe was swaying all over the place. We propped up the tailpipe and replaced the bungee with a universal hanger from autozone. I mig welded one end to the frame and attached the other end to the tailpipe with 3/8" bolt, nut and nylock nut.

Hmmwv
I scored a pair of Humvee on eBay for $100. I already have a couple mirrors I pieced together but these are complete military take offs. They need some cleaning up but I am sure they will look great once cleaned and mounted!
